Schleich 14568 Stegosaurus Dinosaur Figure
150 million years ago, the large, heavy Stegosaurus populated the earth. On his back, he had large bone plates, on his strong tail sat pointed spikes.
The Stegosaurus became about the size of a travel bus: up to 9 metres long and 4 metres high. It was long considered the most dulling dinosaur because his brain was barely bigger than a table tennis ball. It weighs only 80 grams with a bodyweight of 4.5 tons. Today it believes it had a kind of "second brain" at the base of the tail. Although he was a plant-eater and died from low growing farms, his teeth were far too sharp to chew - they resemble small saw blades. To crush the plants in his stomach, he swallowed stones.
