Product Details

Robot Turtles by ThinkFun is the first board game designed for children as young as preschoolers to learn the fundamentals of computer programming.

A child plays the game with an adult, using Code Cards to program their Robot Turtle to reach its matching Jewel. As play advances, obstacles like Ice Walls and more complex Code Cards like Lasers and Function Frogs are introduced. The best part? Children have all the control, acting as programmers to boss around the parent, who becomes the computer. As your child creates code, parents respond with goofy beeps, bops and zaps, eliciting shrieks of delight and belly laughs. What a fun way to connect with you child!

Takes seconds to learn, minutes to play and provides endless learning opportunities. Before you know it, your little one will be writing computer games rather than just playing them!

Robot Turtles supports coding literacy - As your child plays the the game, they learn how to:
Use commands and understand their outcomes
Combine commands to form a line of code
Read a line of code and execute it
Create and use functions to improve efficiency
Encounter bugs, then examine code and edit accordingly
Break big problems into small steps
